Chile is nearly 5, and seems as if he had some congenital deformaties which caused his ligament tears ... VERY active, happy dog, running for miles with us horseback riding and hiking, playing like mad, just a happy guy!!!! For his early story, please visit his page:

Anyway, today I brought Chile home from his second surgery. He seems to know the routine, and has been VERY good at staying on the floor or in his crate, not licking his wound too much, etc. ... much different from the first time where he wanted to do all the "wrong" things. Boy, they sure do understand .... what dears!!! His left leg was done first, and seems to be 100% now, though only time will tell. His left foot was a bit "club" and they even rotated it to be at the correct angle!!!! WOW!!!!! In 4 months or so, when he can go back to rigorous exercise, we'll then know whether this truly was the answer to this terrible dilemma!!!

BLESSINGS on all of you out there reading this and going through whatever it was that brought you to search for stories and help!!!!

MORE SOON!!!!!!!!!
